Description
19” x 26.5” Raven Icarus continues the exploration of using my own figure in my work. My work often adresses the current challenges facing women in our society by drawing on archtypes from mythology. Icarus was punished for flying to close to the sun, but as women we have to fly close to the sun every day to accomplish the tasks before us. Raven often represents trickster energy, which we call upon to do the impossible.
