12” x 12” As a local female artist born and raised in Albuquerque, I feel my pieces not only qualify as relevant to this show’s theme but also represents my approach to art and a good introduction into who I am. I focus mainly on female forward, bright, colorful representations of my own psyche. In Finding Refuge, I am depicting losing myself in my own little world to be able to take a breath from the stress and reality of the world we currently live in.
