Meet Barbara Burzillo!
“After concluding a lengthy corporate career I decided to pursue my passion for art. I am inspired by a deep desire to communicate on a spiritual and emotional level. I feel compelled to find ways to share that feeling in clay and on canvas, creating visual stories through movement and color.
My work is primarily abstract sculpture and painting. I revel in dramatic gestures, bright palettes and rich textures. My figurative works are frequently elongated, faceless, fantastical beings and are often described as exhibiting strong emotion and passion. I rely on the medium as an active participant in determining the direction of my art. While I sometimes plan, I believe my most successful sculptures and paintings are of organic origins.”
Meet Andi Callahan!
“I have been involved in artistic endeavors since 1985. Color has always been my primary influence. I began as a production potter specializing in Raku pieces with vibrant metallic glazes. I then moved to fused glass, taking advantage of all the beautiful colors available.
Since I must be part crow, I became attracted to all the sparkling colors and variety of gems and beautiful stones out there. A trip with a friend to the Tucson Gem Show in 1999 sealed my fate as a jeweler and I haven’t looked back since.
I use only natural materials along with semi-precious and precious gems. I create one-of-a-kind pieces that I hope bring wonder and enjoyment to my clients.”
