First Friday ARTScrawl (March 1st; 5-8pm) WOMEN’S WORK 2019
It’s back! The jury is in, and we’ve come up with yet another wonderful exhibition celebrating women and creativity during Women’s History Month! Join us Friday night for the opening of our third-annual “Women’s Work” show! “Women’s Work” is a collection of works by 20 local artists which explores female identity: past, present, and future.
This year’s artists include: Audrey Montoya, Brooke Beggio, Contessa L Lowery, Elizabeth Criger, Elizabeth MacQuigg, Jennifer DeSantis, Jessi Lloyd, Karen Hymer, L. BaLoMbini, Lisbeth Cort, Marian Berg, NC Magnusson, Sarah Lovell, Sarah Stearman, Sonia Luévano, Susan Joseph, Venae Warner, Virginia Heiden, Zienna Brunsted Stewart, & Sandi J Ludescher.
If you can’t make the opening, “Women’s Work” will show the entire month of March in our west gallery. (Regular hours 11-6)

ARTISTS WHO TEACH, LEAD, & INSPIRE
Where: Gallery With a Cause, New Mexico Cancer Center When: March 1, 2019 (6-8:30pm)
Join Amy this Friday at the Gallery With A Cause, for the opening of “Movers & Shakers: Artists Who Teach, Lead, & Inspire”. Come out, say “hi” and vote for Amy for people’s choice! All work is for sale, with 40% going to the cancer center foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to provide for non-medical needs for cancer patients.
In addition to Amy’s New Media work, displayed art will span media ranging from paintings, photography, ink printing, iconography, encaustic art, and metal sculpture. Artists include: Dave Sabo, Glen Smith, Krysteen Waszak, Ivana Starcevic, Paul Rodenhauser, Bill Monthan, John Boyes, Victoria Mlady, Sharon Rutherford, Sue Ellen Rael, Ric Speed, Carol Mell, Kate Palmo, and Ken Duckert.
The theme for this Arts Alive! is “The Art of Chili”. Local chefs will offer their best chili recipes in hot competition, and restaurants and galleries throughout Corrales will be open with special bargains for visitors. In addition, wineries will be also be offering tastings of local wines.
ROE LiBRETTO INSPIRED! WORKS ON PAPER

We’re pleased to announce that three watercolors by Ghostwolf’s Roe LiBretto were selected by the New Mexico Art League for a juried exhibition focusing on works on paper. Inspired! presents a wide variety of artists’ approaches to working with and on paper in mixed media, collage, painting, drawing and printmaking. The three paintings selected for exhibition: The Annunciation; The Artist; and Vanitas, are from Roe’s Illuminated Manuscript series. Please join Roe during the March 16th reception, at the New Mexico Art League, to discuss the content and process of her work.

Collins, Colorado this month, stop by 3 SQUARE ART GALLERY and check out the Non-objective Abstract National Exhibit.Ghostwolf artist Christa Stephens will have work in this exhibit which focuses strictly on displaying work that is purely abstract in form which is purposely devoid of any references to worldly things or objects. Styles include pure abstraction, such as geometric abstraction, neo-plasticism (De Stijl), color field, lyrical abstraction, concrete art, and more.

It’s a month of honors for Ghostwolf owner/curator Amy M. Ditto! Amy has just learned that she will be featured in the March/April issue of Shadow & Light Magazine, with a Showcase Portfolio. Amy won the opportunity as a finalist in the 2019 “Color it Red” competition!
