We at GWG hope that this message finds you healthy, happy, and warm. We’re super excited about this year in art and will have many great events happening in the months to come. We’ve got a great group show in store for you in January and the call is out for our first juried show of the year, our second annual “Women’s Work” exhibition. Later in the year, look for WILD!, and several more great juried and GWG artist shows.
It’s going to be a fantastic 2018 and we look forward to sharing it with you!
January First Friday ARTScrawl (January 5th; 5-8pm)
New Year’s Resolutions don’t have to just focus on the negative. They can be about renewal, forward movement, personal evolution, and transcendence. This month, our artists present a group show centered on these themes. An informal discussion regarding our artistic directions will be an integral part of the evening. As always, light refreshments will be served!

“Natural design is a source of infinite variety and form. It can follow complex patterns that can repeat, scale, and progress with incredible complexity and aesthetic beauty. Artists are often moved to capture the whims of Mother Nature and in the process of artistic discovery we have unearthed amazing constants such as the “Golden Mean”, the Fibonacci sequence, π (Pi), fractals, and mathematical harmony. Nature can display these in the form of storms, erosion, trees, flowers, shells, feathers, and endless other ways. Artists may depict them, whether rooted in reality or imagination, through drawing, painting, photography, or other creative methods. Both contemporary and traditional artists participate in this unique art exhibition.”
